It could be that. I'm not sure. If I remember correctly, photos are a normal
part of college application in the UK, anyway. But it's illegal for
employers to ask for photos with job applications.

Education's definitely not free in the UK anymore! Courses like this are
still relatively affordable if you're a local student. But I've just
realized that I don't qualify as one any more, having been out of the UK for
a few years. So I'd have to pay three times the normal fee. Three thousand
pounds for a one-year course is a big commitment. I like the idea of a
fairly general qualification, but perhaps it might be more cost-effective to
do one or two specialized short courses.
