Dear all,

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a way of reviewing UI resources? At the moment I'm interested in Windows resource files written in Visual Studio, but if someone can share their experience of reviewing UI for other operating systems (Mac, Linux or UNIX), that would be much appreciated as well.

Installing Visual Studio to use its resource editor seems to be an overkill. Editing a resource file in a text mode in a text editor and having the software installed for reference would be another option, but in that case it wouldn't be easy to see which string corresponds to which control in the UI.

Any ideas welcome.

Thank you.
