Gosh, yes, as Chris has already replied... didn't strike me to ask
about this, because I have scourged both Norton and McAfee off all the
Windows boxes where I have a say... and as Chris says, AVG is better
(though ver 8's horrible idea of scanning websites, pretending to be
IE6, before the user went there... that significantly diminished my
liking for it). I haven't suffered those two "giants" McAfee and
Norton - ham-fisted stupid behemoths that don't seem able to catch the
tiny miscreants slipping by - for ages, but they DO take up gobs of
precious system resources, as I remember!
