In today's language, and yesterday's, "Click Gimfratz, then click the
display to add new locations" contains a grammatical error known variously
as a "comma splice" or "run-on sentence". It contains two independent
clauses, and two independent clauses should either be joined by a
conjunction, or separated by a semicolon or a period ("full stop" if you
prefer). "Then" is not a conjunction.

I suppose your question really is, "Does anybody today really care about
grammatical errors?" The answer is yes.
