I'd avoid calling it a "freebie" or doing anything that
might make it look attactive enough for someone to
want to take it home with them. If a floppy or writeable
CD was really going to be enough storage, order them
with a small capacity that makes them undesirable for
personal use. You could even program the software
to seek out an encrypted key on the backup dongle
and refuse to start unless it's installed. If you have any
piracy issues, that might appeal to the product owners.
