IMO, something like Twhirl is necessary. That transforms Twitter into
an IM-like application on your desktop. Also shortens URLs for ya.
I did find useful references to some TW tools, and a specific job,
although it was 30 days stale.
One important point is that you should have a business account in
addition to the personal account. Super-annoying to wade through all
the personal chatter.
