Thanks! I actually am familiar and comfy with Google mail and calendar.
What I need a pointer on is how to go about setting up a group calendar
for tech pubs for Outlook in an Exchange environment.
Cheers,

Yes. Our company is migrating from Outlook to Google Calendar. Not just
for Calendar but for e-mail too. You can create a gmail account for your
company and then create a Google Calendar. Only those with the gmail
account info can access the calendar. The Google Calendar will send
emails to any address you enter for invites.
