Framemaker running footer problem

Hi all

 

This is a complete mystery to me. 

 

I have running footers in my Framemaker 8.0 files with the definition
<$paratext[Head1,RefHead1]>

 

These have been working fine up til now, and suddenly they have stopped
displaying in Body pages. They are still there in the Master pages but
are not displaying in Body view.

I do usually use a lot of conditional text but there is none at all in
these files, so the footers are not conditional.

 

I am at a complete loss why these are not displaying - anyone have any
ideas?
