When I did a template conversion on a really huge doc set a few years
back I discovered that you
will get the Missing Fonts message if your file contains *cross-
references* to other files that also have missing
fonts, even if that specific file itself doesn't have any missing
fonts. The book file itself can also contain font definitions in the
MIF, even though the book file doesn't use fonts itself.

In my particular case the doc set was so huge and so cross-referenced
that the missing font messages didn't go away until I had fixed all
the missing fonts in every single doc file and in the book file.
