In the US, all packaged foods that contain peanuts, peanut oil or peanut
byproducts MUST state it on the label. The FDA doesn't make exceptions
because the word is in the product name. It may seem unnecessary, but it's
designed to ensure that all products provide consistent label information.

One of my favorites, found on a can of PEANUT Brittle:
Warning. Contains Peanuts.
.....it's in the name of the product!

I can't believe you would suggest that warnings such as "Do not submerse
toaster in water or use in shower" and "The blades of these scissors are
very sharp and may cut things" aren't meaningful to the user.

True, but that's usually immaterial - I've always
suspected that most warning labels and signs are not
expected to be effective, and are not even provided to
protect people, but instead are provided as CYA precautions
on the part of businesses or governments. ("See, we
plainly told them that what they did was dangerous -
not our fault!")
