I agree with Keith's perspective on the responsibilities of the hiring
managers. That said, knowing what I know about the folks in STC,
they're less worried about criteria to weed out applicants than they
are about wearing another badge.
I thought it was funny, and a bit embarrassing, that a number of
senior members at summit felt that it was necessary to stick labels on
their badges to parade their Senior Member, Award Winner, Fellow, or
Executive status.
Personally, if I really cared about that stuff, I'd ask the other
person. I coud read the experience level of the other attendees
without the strips of colour.
