That is extremely unfortunate. As a Documentation Manager I worked
hard to develop objective criteria for both hard and soft skills in
order to appropriately evaluate five levels of technical writer roles.

Very true, but I think that is one hurdle STC is trying to overcome by
NOT looking only at testing.

Very true. There are doctors who shouldn't be allowed within 500 feet
of a patient, and there are others who you would bend over backwards
just to get in to see.
