1. Screen display for point to multipoint manager software (where we're are short on screen real estate)
2. The corresponding user manual (not short on space), but must be consistent
3. Industry norm for this: AFAIK there isn't one.
Meanwhile, some diligent Googling produced a comparison table of a Cisco something-or-other with Meru something-or-other with this: "Cisco Aggr. Tput (Mbps)" and "Meru Aggr. Tput (Mbps)".
Oh well, I guess it will have to be Tput.

Mbps is actually becoming increasingly popular. Cox Cable uses "Mbps" in their customer facing marketing web pages.
