TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I'm using Flare for the past several years (no translation until just now), but I switched over from RoboHelp.
Robohelp appeared to languish for another year or three after I abandoned it, then it started showing action.
At the time, Flare made it fairly painless to switch from RoboHelp.
Have recent iterations of RoboHelp:
a) caught up to Flare in general usefulness
b) included an easy path to switch from Flare?
With the right answers to those questions, the next one would be... is RH any friendlier to translators (especially those using Trados)??
