Hi David,

Another tool you might consider is Help & Manual. Unlike Flare, H&M saves pure, unadulterated XML. Here is some translation specific info: http://www.ec-software.com/products_hm_xml.html.

Regards,
Leonard

David, I do not know but I purchased Flare, Lingo and Mimic recently and am learning how to use them.

So, I would be very interested in this too.

I know that Lingo itself will produce the specialized files that translators need to use with their tools.

But Flare - I suspect that it will not produce those files - but I do not really know; how well does it do that thing? I'd like to know.

>Now we have had doubt thrown on this application by our translation agency who advise that Flare tries to force translators to use Lingo because Flare is difficult to work with Trados, which is their TM application. They are advocating Framemaker - but I am wondering - has anyone out there seen problems between Flare and Trados?...
