Thanks for that! The Print driver does the job as you say. There is still one small (but not critical) glitch: I uncheck Save to file, in the hope that it will produce the pdf. Despite that, it insists on producing the ps file. I just double click it and it gets fed to the distiller, which produces the pfd. Is there some way to make thing go straight through to pdf?
Regards,
Daniel

Subject: Re: [Techshoret] Adobe TCS 3 - Failure to Produce Landscape Oriented Pages
Dear Daniel,
When you use *File > Save As* then you use FMs PDF Maker which is built on
old Unix code converted for Windows.
If you have Adobe Acrobat then you can use *File > Print* and print to the
Adobe PDF print driver. I always use the *Print to File* option and change
the filename extension to .ps so that when the print file is generated I
just double-click on it and Distiller converts the .ps file to a PDF.
The Adobe PDF print driver has more options and works much better if you
have a new version of Adobe Acrobat.
Note: Check the colours in the final PDF because they may look different
than the PDF generated with FMs PDF Maker.
I have proven the above with FM 7.x, 8, 9 and 10 on Windows XP, Vista and 7.
