TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
That's because we usually try to apply common sense, which will almost
always turn out to be a losing strategy in a product liability case.
I fully expect that sooner or later some product or another will need to
come with a lockout that delivers an embedded safety briefing, will not
allow a user to operate the product until a test on the content has been
passed AND incorporates recognition that can distinguish one user from
another so that nobody can ever use it without first being
safety-qualified. Mark that down, and when it happens remember where you
heard it first!
