One slide lists the drivers.

A full description of the activity will probably have to wait for the future, but briefly, a group of about 20 Society and thought leaders got together during the 2009 Atlanta conference (at what I called the "Summit summit") and brainstormed answers to the topic question "Why certify?" The 50 or so responses that came out were grouped and ranked into the drivers. The STC Board subsequently accepted these drivers as matching the Society's strategic goals.
