For a direct job with bennies, out-of-pocket costs for insurance, 401k
plans and company matches, stock shares or options, vacation/pto. All
discussion of these should be reserved for after you've hit them with your
qualifications and have them salivating over the prospect of hiring you.
For a contract/temp position with no bennies, you're pretty much limited to
W2/1099 status. For those gigs, cash is king.
