Have you tried exporting the Excel graphs as another graphics format, such
as a .png or .gif? If you can export them, the export conversion utility
will ask what size you want the exported image to be. You can specify the
width to match the page width in Word, and the conversion utility will
downsize the image appropriately. The converted image will then behave in
Word, and will not overly enlarge the Word file.
