The best thing to do is avoid the disappointment by not putting too much expectation on the interview in the first place. Do the best you can to present yourself as you really are, rather than as what you think they want, go through the formality of the thank-you followups and then go on with your life as if the interview never happened.

If it turns out that either you or they decide there's not a match, just consider that starting any new relationship, business or personal, with doubt that there's a good match almost always ends with one party or the other deciding that getting together was a mistake in the first place.
