I'm curious Robert about your response. Why do you feel that FrameMaker and
WebWorks are a better choice for you.
I needed about a good month of working with Flare (to understand its
processes and logic) but once I became familiar with Flare, I decided that
I could never go back to FrameMaker. It was a huge risk but it is paying
off for me now but I also had the advantage of starting from zero; no
legacy of FM documents to consider.
I am asking because as a former FrameMaker trainer, I was up against a bit
of flak with my FrameMaker colleagues when I announced my decision to
abandon FM and I feel to a lot of people misunderstand the shear power of
the Flare tool.
It is not my intention to get into a FM vs Flare thing... as long as allows
you to do your job effectively, it doesn't matter what you use. :-)
