TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I used to be picky about personalized invitations until I started poking
around on my LinkedIn mobile app. I can send
requests quickly to anyone at the click of a button and there is NO prompt
to send personalized message. We should all send a request to LinkedIn
support asking this option be added to all invitation methods.
After this I decide whether to accept them or not based on their profile's
relevance to what I do. And I don't add recruiters unless they send me a
job description or a list of types of positions they specialize in filling
that relate to what I do.
Hope this helps your men weed out process. Add me!
