I'd put a bulleted summary of pertinent skills and experience in your introduction and then follow it up with the past 10 years of jobs.
Indeed. If you hint that you are anywhere near the "45-year-old" limit that they are not supposed to "discriminate" over, then their safer procedure is to ignore you. I knew of someone who felt he was being rejected as "overqualified" because of his PhD. He didn't omit it, but put it under "Hobbies."
