That stuff's not really related to Word import except that those
elements aren't imported. You just need to learn to create templates.

I have used the Flare Import Guide and also the book Five Steps to Madcap Flare. Some of the issues are related to the documents' content. For example, the page header doesn't contains text but an image of the product logo. The title page has an image embedded in the header of the Word document. So it took some time to get that sorted out. Going forward it will be quicker to set that up in other documents.
