Chris,
I don't know anything about html5 (yet), but the solution is probably not a
one-step fix.
But one solution would work like this, which I first encountered in Excel.
You invoke a form, and it presents just one row of your data, arranged as a
'card'. They you can go forward or back through other rows, one at a time.
So, first presentation is the table, then a button quickly presents the
data form.
