OK, I've been doing online help for a long time and back in the Windows 95
dark ages, there was a SHED Editor that allowed authors to create a
segmented hypergraphic -- basically an image on which you could 'draw'
shapes (usually rectangles) and assign each shape a URL. The shapes didn't
appear on the image. But, if you clicked the image on one of the invisible
shapes you would launch a popup window with the URL's content displayed.

For example, I used to use it to outline the areas of a menu bar screenshot
- click the area over the Edit button, and the Edit content popped up in a
window; click Format, and a Format window opened up ....

Haven't see this for a while, so I doubt it's still in use, but thought I'd
ask.
