Jill,

Basically, it breaks down like this. Integer is any whole number- no
decimal or fraction. Digit is a single digit number (How's that for using
the term to define itself), that is, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 ...9. Number is the
generic term - any number of digits, with or without fractions of decimals.
