Subject:Justifying Additional Staff From:Brian Daley <briand -at- MEI -dot- COM> Date:Fri, 8 Oct 1993 11:27:00 -0500
We need to determine the best way to justify additional staff for our
technical communications department. Currently we have 3 operator manual
writers and 3 service manual writers who document 5 product lines (i.e.,
some people split their time between 2 product lines). Our goal is to have
1 person per product line in each area (operator and service).
What are some techniques you have used to justify additional staff? We do
have a history of the department's hours per product/writer for the last 5
years at our disposal.
Thanks for your help,
