As someone who is a technical marketing specialist, I'd like to put my two
cents into this discussion. Tech marketing combines tech writing and
marketing. While some companies are really into hype, most just want clear
writing that explains the product to an executive decision maker who doesn't
understand much about technology.
I think it is a great field. You have the challenge of learning a technically
complex product, plus you have a little more creative freedom.
