Thank you all for your messages of sympathy and comfort. I felt more at
ease knowing that the list subcribers and list owner have this passion for
technical writing. I am not on the list. The only communication I
have with all of you is from forwarded messages from my english teacher.
In all these responses I read of nit-picking and thin skin. I have a
hard time believing these are the reasons the list was formed. I hope
the list was formed as an instructional tool. I would appreciate
responses on why each of you are on the list. What is the purpose of
this list?
Maybe the reason I received so much flac (excuse the slang) is because I
just started in by stepping on others toes. I don't want to completely
shun myself from the tech writers world. I see this as a very valuable
opportunity to improve my skills in technical report writing because
in the future I will write a lot of technical reports.
I ask all of you out there now to stop sending messages about nit-picking
and thin skins and get back on track to doing what the list was created
to accomplish.
Again I'd like to thank Saul Carliner, Eric Ray, Mark Hagen, Bonni
Graham, Lynn Perry, Shannon Ford, Christine Davis, Charles Campbell,
Richard Irvine, Chuck Banks, Tammi Williams, Jane Torpie, Steven Owens,
my english teacher Melody DeMeritt, and everyone else who sent messages.
Have a good weekend and I look forward to your responses.
