As of January 1, 1994, the BIZCOM discussion list, sponsored by the
Association for Business Communication,  shifted from the College of
Humanities at The Ohio State University to the Department of English at
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech).

Subscribers exchange information about classes they are teaching, ask
questions about resources, business practices, and the like, discuss
writing practices in various professional settings, and  share conferences
announcements, calls for papers, and requests for proposals.

To join the list, send a mail message to address:

         listproc -at- ebbs -dot- english -dot- vt -dot- edu

with the single line:  Subscribe BIZCOM firstname lastname

For example:  Subscribe BIZCOM Ebenezer Scrooge
Please turn off any automatic signature on your mail file.

Once you join the list, you will receive a welcome message asking for
additional information to be posted in a directory of users.

To send a message to the list, use the address:

Information will be forthcoming explaining how everyone (new subscribers
and current subscribers) will be able to access this directory of list
members, updated periodically.
