Someone requested information about Ph.D. programs in Technical Communication.
FYI: The Society for Technical Communication maintains a directory of all
programs in technical communication--bachelor's, master's and Ph.D. You
can contact the Society at 703-522-4114 or stc -at- tmn -dot- com (Dave Pfister--this
is the organization you requested information about).
That said, the schools with Ph.D. programs are:
o Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA)
o Michigan Technological University (Houghton, MI)
o Rensallear Polytechnical University (Troy, NY)
o University of Minnesota (St. Paul, MN)
I've heard that the University of Washington is working on a program, but do
not know its status.
