I've used zip and ZIP. The post office doesn't seem to care -- unlike
Kleenex (TM) or Xerox (TM), they seem perfectly happy that the trademark has
become a generic term. I think that may have been one of their goals -- the
only reason it's trademarked seems to be to keep private mail services from
claiming it as a "unique feature".
People seem to understand it either way (kind of like FAX and fax) although
the all-lowercase looks a little funny to me. I'd say being consistent with
the rest of your fields is more important.
