A new association for Science Communicators called the Australian Science
Communicators (ASC) was inaugurated at the last ANZAAS conference in September
this year. Here's an extract from their Membership form.
".. A broad-based association to promote national awareness and understanding
of science and technology in Australia?" ASC includes science communicators
from media, government-funded research organisations, museums, universities,
education and industry...." Amongst other things they intend to publish
a journal.
I know this sounds a bit parochial but very topical given the lastest
comments re: Maths Vs Writing and requests for more discussion on
non-computer related writing.
