I think that your posting was quite appropriate and
would politely encourage you to continue posting
announcements of availability to the list. I think that
a number of us find those announcements useful
(regardless of if we do or don't order the tapes).

Relax! I disapprove quite heartily of spamming, but
this wasn't it. As I told one of the protesters,
STC-related activities and similar announcements are
fine and on topic. (BTW, this individual provided me
with a carefully reasoned, well-thought-out commentary
about using the Net for advertising and the possible
consequences. I, however, respectfully disagree, and
will continue to support this type of post.)
