SRX, in Plano, Texas, a manufacturer of telecommunications hardware and
software products, has an opening for a contract technical writer. The
contract would extend from February 1 to June 30, 1995. This is an excel=
lent
opportunity for a student, an intern, or a recent graduate of a technical=
writing program who is seeking an entry-level position. Hours can be
flexible.
The intern would be responsible for specific tasks and would also assist =
four
technical writers with various writing projects:
=A4 user manuals
=A4 database administration and operation manuals
=A4 hardware installation and maintenance manuals
Get an opportunity to use and learn Interleaf publishing software on a PC=
or
a Sun workstation.
QUALIFICATIONS
In addition to having good writing skills, the applicant must enjoy a
"dynamic" environment, where flexibility is a necessity. Applicant shoul=
have advanced skills in word processing programs, such as the style
capability in Word, but knowledge of Interleaf is not necessary.
Experience with graphics software would be very helpful.
Some knowledge of electronics or telecommunications, even though limited,=
would be advantageous.
