Just a thought ... Maybe the interviewer "saves the best for last".
In other words, the interviewer has already selected a favorite candidate
based on resume, cover letter, phone conversation, etc. Sometimes the
interview is really just to confirm compatibility. That's why the last
interviewed usually gets the job.
