Wait a minute. I fail to see how saying you don't understand a group of people
(in this case, conservative Christians) means you have "perfectly excluded,
marginalized and insulted" them. I won't do Douglas Thayer's arguing for him,
but I think that Merrill Dodge has perhaps misrepresented his position. It
seems to me that a lot of the "PC" debate (both in this list and in society at
large) consists of a great deal of misunderstanding and misrepresentation on
both sides. Instead of wasting time and energy pointing fingers and labelling
each other (as "PC" or "un-PC" or "conservative" or "liberal" or whatever other
labels we can find), couldn't this energy be better spent trying to understand
and accept each other? In other words, can't we just try to get along?
