We've just introduced a programmable filter extension to our popular
FrameMaker-to-ASCII (FM2A) filter. The export filter provides many points
where you can insert strings into the text output. These strings are
commands for the target text processor (HTML, Latex/Tex, SGML,
Nroff/Troff, among others - whatever you use, you can support). The filter
also provides string insertion points for implied structures, such as list
begin/end, table row begin/end, and so on.

Because you define the command strings, you can export commands that match
any localizations of the target processing language. You don't need an
expensive, customer, dedicated filter, you can make your own!
