TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Have any of you seen research on who reads comic books or
newspaper comics? I remember reading something about intelligent
people often going to the comics first (that's how I decided I must be
intelligent--I always went for the Sunday comics first).
Also, I have seen comments that people in Japan, Korea, and other Far
East countries like information presented in a #comic book# format. I
would appreciate any anecdotal or documented feedback about the
reaction to documentation presented using the comic book approach.
