Subject:Re: help my sentence... please (resolution) From:"Kahn, Stacey" <skahn -at- WB -dot- COM> Date:Tue, 8 Aug 1995 15:26:40 U
Thanks to all who responded to my problem sentence of framis, thingy, whatsis,
whoosies, and whizbang.
Starting from:
In addition, the framis requires a thingy to have been developed,
using the whatsis tool, that contains whoosies to be used in the
whizbang.
And based on your suggestions, I have rewritten for:
[Paragraph is about what you've got to do before using the framis to develop a
whizbang (i.e., the prerequisites to building a whizbang, which is done using
the framis.)]
You also need to develop a thingy before you can build a whizbang. Thingies,
which you develop using the whatsis tool, contain the whoosies that are used by
the whizbang.
FWIW, the users to whom the manual is targeted are indeed technical; they do
actually "develop" the thingy.
Thanks again--
