If you've got a bank card with interac access, you'll be able to buy
just about everything you need. I live in a town of 500 people about an
hour and a half from Toronto and you can pay for your groceries and gas
by debit card (ATM bank cards with interac access)
Debit cards are used more frequently in Canada than in any other
country. You certainly don't need to get a lot of traveller's cheques.
