When you say "writing for electronic" do you mean Help files or Acrobat
or what?
If you mean should one write the help file first or the paper document
first, I prefir to
develop the Help file first, and then back-edit it to develop the
user's manual. I've found
that Help files have a lot of redundancy in them (of necessity, because
of the way they
tend to be used) and it's easier to edit things out than it is to
remember to put them in.
It's also a great check of the Help file to find little things that may
have been left out.
