your output is only one parameter:
- Your employer needs less offices. Two or three people can share
one or two desks. This offers room for growth without substantial
investment.
- They can keep people who would have to quit otherwise.
If you add your commuting time to your working time you might be much better
off, even if you work several hours more than you would at the office. It even
helps tremendously that noone enters your room, you do not hear every word
from the next cubicle, and the phone rings less often.
