A way exists to mark keys without saying so. I got this from a Cobb pub
that came with, gasp, Word 2, but it works.
Do Insert, Field, and scroll down to EQ. In the box, put a space, then a
backslash, then x, then the desired text enclosed in regular parenthesis.
When you press Enter, the text appears on screen and in print enclosed in a
box.
To change, use the right mouse button to toggle fields, then type the
desired text in place of what's there.
Two ungood features: It does affect line spacing, and the default appears
with a space after the box. Not much you can do about the first, but you
can edit out the space.
