In another part of the city...

I installed Toy Story on a co-worker's NT machine and had a similar problem
with DLLs being overwritten. (My co-worker was out that day, and I had to
bring my son to work.) I didn't know that program installation would
overwrite operating system DLLs until the next day when I was informed by my
coworker that I had corrupted her machine! She claimed that Toy Story had
overwritten crucial DLLs and caused NT not to operate correctly. She had to
reinstall NT and I was in the dog house. Toy Story is made by Disney BTW.

Does anyone know more about this? Do all program installations overwrite
DLLs and potentially cause problems?
