Subject:PhotoShop and Corel Suite compatibility From:Cheryle Wiese <cjwiese -at- HOTMAIL -dot- COM> Date:Wed, 6 May 1998 09:18:24 PDT
Hi,
I'm one of two writers in my company who has been tasked with developing
our Intranet site. We have a lot of good information on the site, but
our marketing-type bosses want it to be more "splashy" and
"graphical."
The other writer is using PhotoShop to create and modify images for
his pages, and since he is the more experienced graphics person, we
agreed that I would just use his graphics for my pages with slight
modifications.
He is using PhotoShop to create and modify his images -- all mostly
.gifs with several "layers" in them. He works with both Mac and Windows
95.
I do not have PhotoShop on my system, but I do have the CorelDraw
Graphics Suite (6.0). I am using Windows 95 only.
QUESTION: Do I need to try to get my boss to approve a $600 PhotoShop
purchase, or can I use Corel to manipulate the PhotoShop files? I
played around with this a little bit and it didn't seem to work, but
maybe I'm missing something.
Your help is greatly appreciated!
Cheryle Wiese
