I'm with Mike. In addition to the extra layer between me and the rtf/hpj
files, I find that HATs often add extra code that I have to clean up before
I send my projects off for localization. I've written macros to do just what
I need, and most of the other features of RoboHelp (or Doc-to-Help, etc.) I
find unnecessary for my work. I've spoken to localization engineers for a
number of companies who also find that HATs create problems on their end.
Don't like someone else's HAT? Just develop your own. ;-)
