Kathy,
You might want to check out our STC Int'l Conference Presentation on how we built an
HTML-based help system that is cross platform, and has a javascript-based keyword
search engine in it. (http://www.cms-stl.com/stc/)
I'm afraid you won't find any COTS (commercial off the shelf) products that do what
you're wanting to do... believe me... we looked hard.
If you're getting into the world of HTML-Based help, you're going to have to learn
some JavaScript I'm afraid... We found great classes at a local university
extension...
and a Java Programmer won't be able to help you either :-) (Java's a different
beast than JavaScript. The only thing they share is half a name!).
cheers,
